Greetings from another update of Mad Miner!

I realize that this update is not as big as the 1.4.1 update, but I still like to provide updates like this to show my support for the game.

Even though I know that Mad Miner is no longer being played by anyone, I love my game and I'm not forgetting it. After all, I want to remind you that my motto from the very beginning was “I making games with players, not investors”, so the fact that no one is playing Mad Miner is not something that really concerns me. My game is here and open to any player who wants to play it. I don't see my games as money, they are my works. Therefore, it doesn't upset me to fail. Maybe I won't be able to continue on this path and I won't have time to develop games, but I will still be here when I have time and I will keep updating my games for you to enjoy.

All right! Let me tell you what happened in this update:
  • With this update, the interior design of our starter shelter has changed a lot!
  • Wooden walls have been added.
  • Wooden floors have been added.
  • Iron lanterns have been replaced with wooden lanterns and their positions have been rearranged.
  • The positions of the crafting and material tables were moved upwards and wooden bridges were added underneath them. Also stairs that allow us to access them!
  • 2 crop baskets will now accompany us so that we can plant seeds as soon as we get them from the ground!

📰 I Think This is The Design I'm Looking For! Mar 14, 2025
I've tried a lot of designs for the Mercimek Games website, sometimes very cool and modern, sometimes completely retro. I think this final version is the one I like the most. It's sympathetic, characteristic and not too retro. This is the flavor I was looking for!

⛏️ Mad Miner - V1.4.1 "Eggs" Update! Nov 14, 2024
Hello Mad Miner players and fans! Thank you again and again for your interest in Mad Miner.

I realize this isn't a big update, but I wanted to remind you that I haven't forgotten my game I wanted to emphasize that this is an important update to show that I can still support Mad Miner.

So what has been added in this update?
  • Eggs! There are now 3 animal eggs that you can access with the builder mode. Using these eggs you can create: moles, golden moles or bats in the locations you want. I honestly don't know what this will do for you, but I wanted us Mad Miner players to have this possibility. You can actually squeeze them into the places you want in your mines or use them for your custom maps.
Which bugs have been fixed?
  • Fixed some visual bugs in the terrain editor.
  • Bats could hover when flying in water or oil, but this has now been fixed.
  • Enemies no longer spawn near our character when he first enters a mine (default mine or discovered mines). You are safe!
  • Fixed a sorting bug related to item mods.

Hello everyone from another big update of Mad Miner!

In this update, I focused on small details and made some visual and technical changes and added innovations.

  • Smokes added to the furnaces and crop machine.
  • Operating sound added to the engine and machines.
  • Added character coughing when approaching the engine.
  • Alternative new appearance added to the chests.
  • Climbing vines added.

  • Inventory performance improved.
  • The last selection of the quick access bar is now saved.
  • The drawings of all bars have been improved and their positions arranged.
  • Our ground floor in the mines we travel to has been increased from 16 to 8.

Greetings from Mad Miner's 3rd major update!

As you know, Mad Miner has been an enemy-free game since its release. I changed this decision with a poll I asked you all to take, and then I got to work to bring you the PVE update.

Here is the PVE update and the new features that come with it!

What Has Been Added?
  • Enemies wielding pistols or shotguns and spreading chaos. They also drop loot when you kill them.
  • Pistols and shotguns.
  • Gunsmith's table.
  • Bat meat and soup.
  • Damage increase upgrade.
What Has Changed?
  • The carrot drawing has been made a little more orange.
  • Wall shadows have been made more minimal.
What Has Been Fixed?
  • Fixed the color problems of the new colored indicators.
  • Fixed the problem of the engine (item) not working off-screen.
  • And some minor bugs have been fixed.

The stairs in Mad Miner used to have a very restricted construction style. Now you can build them wherever you want and rotate them!

We've also added 3 new stairs. These are:

Also with this version:
  • There have been some changes in the growing time of crops.
    • Carrot 120sec -> 120sec,
    • Potato 160sec -> 240sec,
    • Spinach 200 sec -> 360 sec,
    • Cabbage 240sec -> 480sec replaced.
  • The number of crops that the Cabbage yields when grown has been increased from only 1 to 2 depending on luck.

I admit that Mad Miner can be a bit difficult for new players. As advantageous as the easy shelter is, it might not be easy enough. For this reason, with a 3rd shelter option, you will be able to choose the count of your own chest items.

After entering the mine name, press play and you will see a new button there.

In this menu you can set the count you want and set easier or more challenging starts.

Hello everyone from Mad Miner's first major update!

Thank you for playing Mad Miner or adding it to your wishlist. This interest greatly influences my motivation to develop Mad Miner. It makes me very happy to see people interested in my game. I hope Mad Miner is a game that deserves your playing time.

Without further ado, I would like to explain step by step what awaits you in this big update.

If you're ready, sit back, fasten your seatbelts and hold on tight!

Major Updates:
  • Our mines are now accompanied by water! For this reason, a third vital factor comes into play and we start to feel thirsty. Thanks to water, we produce water pots, water our crops, fish and make our soils to muddy.
  • A total of 20 new buildings, 5 new buildings in each mine, are being added to our mines. These structures sometimes reward us, sometimes make us think, and sometimes just sit there. But it greatly increases our sense of discovery!
  • With the new inventory layout, we can access our items under categories. In this way, we stop getting lost among hundreds of items.
  • We will now be able to produce our items with a single click! You remember that we need to place three different materials to craft items on the crafting table. Instead of sending those materials to the production table one by one, they will be placed automatically when you click on the item you want to produce with the "right mouse button". This way you won't have to memorize the recipes!
  • From now on, your lives will come into play when you run out of any vital factor (thirsty, lack of oxygen or hunger). In this way, you will avoid dying suddenly, and if you want, you will be able to delay it further thanks to the "health increase" development.
  • Mad Miner's food is taking a radical change for the first time. While before you could not consume food other than canned foods, now you will be able to drink soups. For this reason, while soups will be your meals that you consume at an earlier time, canned foods will be a more difficult to produce and more filling meal option. In addition, the canning machine for canned food should produce empty cans; For soups, you must produce empty plates at the ingredient table.
  • I told you that a new character would join us. Gamblers now accompany us in the deserts. Thanks to this NPC, we will be able to spin a wheel with four different prizes at the same time in exchange for 1 shiny gold bar. The rewards he gives are not bad!

  • Details added to the character when oxygen resistance and hunger resistance improvements are completed.
Minor features changed/added with this version:
  • The elevator drawing has changed.
  • The design of the information box showing the purchased items has been changed.
  • The color of the box showing item descriptions has changed.
  • The production of the oxygen machine and tube has changed.
  • Added fire sound to lanterns and torches.
  • Tutorial made a little more detailed.
  • Furnaces have been added to be returned to the inventory when broken.
  • The satiety rates of canned food have been increased.
  • The production of canned foods with special effects has been made easier.
  • Added diary to be open at startup.
  • Additional information showing in which mode the saved mines in the record loading menu are recorded.
  • The storage limit for pickaxes has been removed.
  • Dynamite destroys everything now.
  • Some floor designs have been redrawn.
  • The boxes of all interacted items have been redesign.
Bugs fixed with this version:
  • When put into Builder mode, unfinished upgrades were locked as if they were completed when you loaded your saved mine.
  • The game would open and close again when the language was changed.
  • Some buildings did not destroy the walls behind them. For this reason, the wall shadows were disappearing.
  • When tables that were not crafting or material tables were broken, they were returned to the inventory as production or material tables.
  • Ladders were not spawn in mining cities.
  • Rail line formations coincided with mining cities.
  • And many minor bugs have been fixed.

⛏️ Mad Miner - V1.1: Latest Status Aug 16, 2023
Hello everyone! I hope you have enjoyed or are enjoying playing Mad Miner. I had announced that I was working on the new major update for Mad Miner. So, how's it going? Let me tell you right away.

First and foremost, the "water" will be the essential element of this version. That's why I've incorporated water and its basic physics into Mad Miner.

You must have also noticed the fishing rod in the hands of our miner :)

With V1.1, you will encounter wild crops underground. This will allow you to both cook canned food and produce seeds with the "seed production table." Yes! We will now be able to produce our own seeds.

Apart from these features, there are also additions such as bats, categorization in the inventory interface, binoculars, and fixes for some formations. (I admit progress has been slow due to the very hot weather :D)

The V1.1 update will be quite enjoyable and a bit more detailed. There's still a lot more to add. So, don't forget to stay tuned.

Note: Mines are cool, escaping to the Mad Miner mines might be a good solution in this heat :P

Hello everyone from a new update of Winter and People!
  • Bugfix (Multi-build system that came in our 0.7.3.0 update had a bug that allowed us to get multiple builds to build at once).
  • When you wanted to make a choice to build a new structure in the interface, it caused you to build the structure in your hand by mistake. You can no longer build the building when you hover over the building purchase section. You can first cancel the selected structure and then make a new selection.

Hello everyone from a new update of Winter and People!

In this update, we made some system, logical and visual fixes and additions.
  • To build a structure, you had to select it again each time. Now when you select a building, you can build it continuously until you stop building it.
  • The sounds of the towers were becoming more and more disturbing as their numbers increased. But in this version you can hear them whenever you want. You won't hear their loud noises unless you put your camera in close mode and get close to them.
  • The best way to tell when enemies are coming is to hear their footsteps. These crowded footsteps were repetitive. With a little tweaking, we were able to achieve a more realistic footstep sound.
  • We noticed that the enemies were coming very fast and got some feedback. That's why we've made some changes to the duration of enemy raids. They won't come as fast as before!
  • We know that many players have difficulty assigning their workers' occupations. In this version we have added an infobox that shows you how to assign workers to their jobs.
  • You may have noticed that when you click on a hut to assign a profession, it sometimes doesn't detect it. We have stabilized this system and you can assign professions to your people very easily.
  • You remember that when you click on a person's home and place of work, they say "my home" and "my work". We realized that it was very ugly and we completely redesigned it. From now on, his home or workplace will be self-revealing by flashing.
  • The menu background is now replaced with in-game visuals. You may encounter images of cities randomly.

Hello everyone from a new update of Winter and People!

In this update, we made some system and logical fixes.
  • You know that there is a bar that shows the strength of trees or iron and coal mines. This bar doesn't drop to a certain level, so we weren't able to find out how much durability the resource we collected had left. We have corrected this and brought it to a level where you can easily follow it instantly.
  • As in every game, you know that when you press the "Escape" key in Winter and People, a menu comes up. But we didn't want the game to stop when the menu came. After talking to our testers who tested the game, we thought this was necessary and now you can pause your game by pressing the "Escape" key. This way you can have time to take a break :)
  • We fixed some minor bugs.

❄️ Winter and People - 0.7.1.0 Update! Apr 15, 2022
Hello everyone from a new update of Winter and People!

As you know, Winter and People blends tower defense and city building mechanics. However, we did not think that the tower defense part was enough, so we added some changes and innovations.
  • Now, when you kill your enemies, you can loot their last coins in their pockets. In this way, killing your enemies earns you money and finances you to build new towers.
  • We know your enemies look tiny on your screen. So it was difficult to tell if they were damaged or not. Now your can see their soul burning. This increases the hit feeling of your turrets. Although not as much as DL2...
  • You know the sniper turrets. The tower type with the farthest range. That's why they shoot slower. But their damage was the same as the rifle turrets. They now deal 2x more damage. Now using them is really impressive!
  • You know you have to complete your missions. When you completed all your quests, it was impossible to understand if you didn't open the quest window. Now when all your quests are finished, you can hear a congratulatory voice even if you don't open the quest window. In this way, you do not need to constantly check.
  • Do you remember the bullets and arrows? One emerges from the rifleman's tower and the other from the sniper's tower. But it was almost impossible to spot them. Now they leave a smoke behind which makes them really cool!
  • Winter and People is a difficult game for beginners to understand. We know this, but we want the player to learn by living. We don't have a tutorial. But we help the player with the information on the interface. Now, if you are going to build for the first time, a helpful message box appears to welcome you. In this way, you can learn how to build or cancel.
